Besconite HILUBE Cutlass Bearing
This is a cutlass bearing made from a newly developed material (thermopolymer).
● This is a cutlass bearing made from a newly developed material (thermopolymer) specifically designed for areas that are particularly difficult to maintain underwater. ● It absorbs almost no moisture, resulting in a very low expansion rate of 0.07%, making it an optimal material for propeller shaft bearings that require high precision. ● Compared to nylon and bronze, it achieves about half the friction coefficient. Its unique "self-lubricating property," which includes lubricants within the material itself, consistently exhibits excellent low friction characteristics. ● This product is compatible with our boat's 25mm shaft. ● In our boats, we generally use one bearing in the shaft bracket and a cut bearing on the hull side, cut in half. ● Due to the low friction, wear on the shaft is reduced by 90%, helping to lower maintenance and replacement costs. ● Compared to nylon, rubber, and elastomer materials, it shows almost no compressive deformation even under higher loads in wet conditions. ● The thermal expansion commonly seen in synthetic material bearings is one-third that of nylon or acetal, and there is no deformation due to water infiltration or heat. Therefore, no additional clearance is required to account for this. ● It is also resistant to dilute acids, organic solvents, oils, and petroleum, exhibiting excellent chemical resistance.
